Nestled on historic Ifestou Street, it waited decades for renovation — unreachable above the vibrant flea market below.

When the city fell silent during COVID for the first time since World War II, the opportunity appeared. Theasis was created: a calm, modern retreat that preserves the soul, light, and character of the original house.

It was our first time staying so close to the heart of the city near Monastiraki Square. Despite the central location, it was not noisy at night. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and self check-in was easy with a pin code sent in advance. The location is excellent — just a short walk from the square.

This is the place for you if you want a central location, comfort, and minimal hassle. The room was air-conditioned, the balcony was accessible, and the bed was very comfortable. No additional charges at check-in and a lively atmosphere just outside. We’ll definitely visit again.

Simply the best choice we made for our stay in Athens. The location was perfect for exploring the city on foot. Rooms and common areas were super clean, and the host helped us with restaurant tips and transportation. Morning coffee and late-night wine on the balcony with views of the Acropolis made the stay unforgettable. We would absolutely return.
